The U.S. Preventative Services Task Force
Comprised of an independent, volunteer panel of national experts in disease prevention and evidence-based medicine, the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force works to improve patient outcomes by making evidence-based recommendations about clinical preventive services such as screenings, counseling services, or preventive medications.

As an integral element of the Quality Competencies outlined by the NONPF is the use of "best available evidence to continuously improve quality of clinical practice." The USPSTF guides the integration of this evidence-based medicine into practice.
